Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Mimir ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Mimir is an AI-powered calendar planning assistant that connects to your calendar providers (Google Calendar, Microsoft 365) to help you plan and manage your schedule. The Service requires an active subscription after the free trial period.

3. Account Registration

You may register using your email address, Google account, or Microsoft account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

Mimir offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. After the trial period, continued access requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

5. Calendar Access

To use the Service, you must grant Mimir access to your calendar data via OAuth. This access is used solely to read and write calendar events on your behalf as instructed by you. You can revoke calendar access at any time from your account settings or directly from your calendar provider.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes but is not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, using the Service for any unlawful purpose, or interfering with other users' access to the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Mimir and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your calendar data remains yours at all times.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated planning suggestions will always be accurate or suitable for your needs.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mimir shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any losses resulting from calendar changes made by or through the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Denmark.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Mimir:

  • Account information — name and email address provided at registration or via OAuth.
  • Calendar data — event titles, times, descriptions, and attendees accessed via your connected calendar provider(s).
  • Conversation data — messages you send to the Mimir AI assistant, used to generate planning suggestions.
  • Usage data — basic application logs and error reports used to maintain and improve the Service.
  • Billing information — payment is processed by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and payment method type; we never store your full card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to provide and improve the Service:

  • To authenticate you and manage your account.
  • To read and write calendar events as directed by you.
  • To pass relevant context to the AI planning assistant (your LLM API key, if provided, is used directly and not logged).
  • To process subscription payments via Stripe.
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, billing receipts).

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. Google Calendar Data

Mimir's use of data obtained via Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • Google Calendar data is accessed only to provide the calendar planning features you explicitly request.
  • Google Calendar data is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to operate the Service (e.g., passing event context to your chosen AI provider).
  • Google Calendar data is not used for advertising or to train AI/ML models by Mimir.
  • You can disconnect your Google account at any time from Settings, which will revoke our access token.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with the following third-party services necessary to operate Mimir:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • OpenAI / Anthropic / xAI — AI planning features, using the API key you provide in your settings. Only the context needed to answer your request is sent.
  • Google / Microsoft — calendar access via OAuth, as authorised by you.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and calendar data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Billing records may be retained for longer periods as required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. OAuth tokens are encrypted before storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can disconnect calendar providers from Settings. To request full account deletion or a data export, contact us at the email address below.

8. Cookies

Mimir uses only essential session cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
